When you realised you were expecting....?

Hi Guys

Would anyone care to say how they felt when they realised they were expecting? How did it feel? Did you cry?

Apart from missing your monthly cycle, what symptoms did you feel?

How many months after did you find out?

I think this is interesting…if you feel this is too personal..then pls let me know…

Cheers

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

I had no symptoms whatsoever and actually felt like Aunt Flo was about to come visit. I did a preg test on a whim, a few days before i was due to have it and was totally surprised to see it turn positive, Alhamdulillah.

My last preg i did have symptoms like increased bathroom trips esp at night, alot of wierd, pulling sensations in the abdomen area etc. This time around, nothing at all.

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

Cool..I think it would be interesting to know if someone didnt miss their cycle...ive heard that has hapd to a few people...

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

i missed my cycle which was always on time to the day and i did a test the next day and whilst results were comin up i thought it was negative so put it down adn the next minute i looked at it it was positive. i went runnin into the living room holdin it and sayin to my husband oh my god its positive and he was so happy and i for some reason was so worried. i sat down and said oh no its positive now what and started crying and he started laughin like why are u crying and i didnt know why i was. i wasnt happy and i wasnt sad, dont know what the hell i was.

after that he went out and i had a massive cry and got it all out of my system and now im so happy and excited.

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

I was a few days past my normal date for the Big Red. However I was sensing horrible cramps etc and a dull pain in lower abdomen. I think i waited a good 7-8 days over before I took a pregnancy test. I tested positive.

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

Congratulations to all you guys. May you all have a happy and a healthy pregnancy Inshallah and a baby soon.

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

why could you be surprise as if you got it by accident! you plan with your husband then agree to start a family then why surprise if your wish come true. it happens to a lot of white people who got drunk and they got pregananet accident then abortion it

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

i missed my cycle, checked 3 days later and result was positive

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

i missed mine and checked after three weeks...it was positive..
didnt had any other symptoms really

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

seems like it was super easy for you guys...

I was attending a wedding when suddenly I felt like I was gonna be sick... I felt like I'm gonna vomit, my body was swollen, and for the next few days I thought I had flu - because of fever.

I went to the dr. the 5th day since I was not feeling better... I still had high temp. I found out my results a week later!

It was absolutely unexpected and I just started crying in the dr.'s office...

I drove to work and called hubby from there to let him know he was gonna be a dad! lol - he started shivering too - because it simply had not occurred to us that we were now heading the family way! :)

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

such sweet stories...bless

Its not always planned dear, thats why it may come as a surprise to some people.

ps: we're not white people who get drunk and get pregnant.

some people are so ridiculous

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

Yes even though u are planning it, it still can be a huge suprise at first.

As for crying that has something to do with the female harmons.

I remember a few months ago I was sick and thought I have become pregnant, the first thing I did I went to my mom and started crying .. silly me , it turned out to be a false alarm as I wasnt pregnant.

Really? :halo:

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

yes it is true, that is why the UK law have change somethng for abrotion to be done by 20 weeks before it was 30 or somehitng, i don;t bother to read it carefully on the newspaper as it is not important to me, mostly teenages got pregnant and they are single mother. they are no married, even sex before married

ok so u think they raised the abortion time limit because goray were getting drunk and having kids and becoming single parents. hmm sound right. maybe u shud have read the full article in the paper for that matter. this was introduced as babies do not feel any pain before the 24 weeks period

I believe we are off the topic right now :nono:

ok what is everyones opinion on telling people that your expecting in the first 3 months of your pregnancy?

Ive heard its nt a gd idea 2 tell, but then again u wud wanna tell ur parents wudnt u? and wt if ur parents tell sum1 else coz they r so xcited…??? They say u can get nazar and then God forbid a miscarraige (now I know everyones gnna get wild and say theres no such thing as nazar and all that!!! Im not saying there is or there isn’t and I dont want people 2 argue over this)

back to the question, after how long would u tell anyone??

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

alot of ppl i know told me to tell ppl after 3 months. before that period id told my mum, MIL and my sisters. other than that i told my best friend after 3 months, as far as i know MIL has told the world :)

think its best to wait till after 3months

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

In the first 3 months the chances of miscarriage is high so ppl tend to wait till that period is over.

Re: When you realised you were expecting....?

We told our immediate families right away but to everyone else we didnt say anything until our first ultrasound which was at 10 wks i think, where we saw a strong heart beat and all.

I had a miscarriage last year and we had only told immediate family at that time too. But someone asked MIL about a khushkhabri and she couldnt lie. So a few others knew too and sadly i miscarried a week later. So that was kinda hard to tell them that the baby was no more.
