what protocol did you follow to mingle. Did you introduce yourself first or did you just started posting in threads.
How was your attitude? were you friendly. aggressive, cautious, indifferent?
Ho do you like new people to enter? Should they be more humble like many are when the come or is it OK to be bold and loud like … well Mr Bakistani.

Ummm..i think i just started posting... and then Muniya introduced me in cafe. i opened some useless threads in cafe. my first place to hang out was the fashion forum. and i typed in diff colors each time. i don't think i had a "strategy", i just posted with what i was feeling at that moment. Not a smart move i know. If i had known i would stay this long, i wuda gotten a different nickname!

I just started posting and never opened an introduction thread. I started posting in forums like cafe, religion, life but after I found out that I myself am not “perfect”, I just stopped posting in religion/life after few days and instead went to forums like cafe where people will not try to eat me up everytime I dress differently.
PS - I’ve was/am/will stay friendly

Let me talk about my second entry in GS, after few years of gap.
I entered in July 2007 when I was googling and came across a thread in religion where person was questioning Islamic Calendar. I registered and waited for 2 days to get the right to post.
Long story short, I ended up in argument (well as HHL mentioned, that was a religion forum so nothing surprising here). I calmed down and few days later opened a thread (either in CAFE or General) for people to welcome me.
Went back posting in PA and religion, picked some more fights, clamed down again and decided to explore other forums ...

lol..well i actually after i joined this space i forgot that i joined GS …but after few month had passed i come here again (for some assignment)
and i think i got my first warning after my first-or second post here. (by some Mr. Fraudia 
)…
i called Dawah-e-dil “peanut head”…jab k i think i should have had gotten warning for calling him “wabah-e-dil” 
i also wanted to introduce my self…per is ka moka he nahi mila.
many people thought that i have done my PhD…jo k jhoot nahi hai…main nay falsafay main doctorate kia hai

GS was in its earlier days of development. I was searching for Official Pakistan Govt Website when I came across a page called TOPP, The Official Pakistani Page...
:D, yep that was the name of GS, back then .. TOPP.org or something
Filters of blocking unwanted images were not that advance back then and one of the thread had X-rated pictures posted in them (weirdos are weirdos, no matter when)
that thread was opend up the same day or a day before.
I got angry that how comes the site is called "The Official Pakistani Page" yet has obscene pictures posted in it.
I posted my first thread in ALL CAPS, bad mouthing Admins (as usual) :D
Muzna came back and rudely told me not to scream (refering to my ALL CAPS post).
I had a fiight with her :D and few others.
Six month down, I was the mod of religion section :D

I started off with poet forum both in 2000 [got banned never returned/forgot all about it for 5 yrs] and then again accidently in 2005.

From my experience, if its a new person to the new website for the first time then trust me he/she will NOT enter and announce him/herself in the cafe on his/her first post. If he/she does - hint hint - he/she is a multi or very familiar with the system.
It doesnt matter how one comes or not. It matters how he/she ended up carrying up him/herself after entering the site. I have seen many comes with one story but end up with different story during their time - usually few goes up to down. Overall, it doesn't bother me as long as I get to do with newbies what I want to do :D

EMM: Introducing yourself in cafe does not necessarily mean you HAVE to be a multi of someone. It could also be a person who has been viweing this forum for a long time (6 months - 1 year) and becomes familiar with the forums and hence, knows where to open the thread to introduce him/herself.
