If they had kids after nine months it was because they were pressured by their in laws but they did spend a quality time and as they say, a baby increases love and respect b/w husband and wife.. now as far as the gap between kids is concerned, its because they wanted to collaborate the diaper time, so they wanted to have kids all together thus not having a huge age gap and also be done with the responsibility of the sleepless night/wet diapers. etc. after every 5 years where you are again at the point where you started.. now I think that was very sensible! :-p

PS. don;t you love being khala of so many little kiddoss…I do.. they are just so adorable and add ronaq to our family.. Thanks to our cousins

I had my baby 10 months after getting married... It a good idea to spend a year or two alone then plan the baby, but some times you cant wait that longer. Because of Inlaws pressure if you're in joint family, like in my case i conceived after 2 month of marriage. magar people used to ask me if there is a "Good news" even in the first month.. I mean c'mon give us a break, idher shaadi hooi udher bachay ki demand. And now after having the baby, people again started asking for the second khushkabri even when he was 6 months old. but we decided to give some break before having the second child.

^ lol I know the feeling. I've been married for almost 10 months and people are shocked that I haven't popped one out yet.

The demands started immediately, and it's so weird that after making sex such a taboo topic, we're supposed to talk about this stuff openly with any random auntie or relative.

But sadaf pressure is not on girl alone even husband has to go through serious interrogation and blatant suspecious looks doubting his baby making ability. Thats very much norm in eastern culture where family planning is still somewhat taboo. And yeh, everone wants guy to strike on the first night:) Hmmm thats another topic i should start a thread about!!!

Qiamat ke jitne paas aow, utne log buray hote jaate hain. U can see people of this generation much less practicing (Islam) than those of previous generations, especially the youngsters. I’d rather be labeled as “na-mard” then have kids living in a society of sinners. Living in such a society tempts you to mix in. & to be honest, most people DO mix in. Then, after your death, when your childrens commit sins, guess who else will get the blame for it?? YOU!
