^ i thought you weren't married? i guess i misread your post in the other thread about things we want to do in our lives. doh.
i used to be really quiet and i'd take it all in and then i'd vent with best friends or parents, but honestly, its not worth the aggravation. now i'm polite but firm, i'm never rude or say anything insulting, but i always make it a point to say *some*thing, so the other person realises what they're saying is not cool with me. this has been an especially useful realisation with the inlaws.
