"Why have we been created? Allah will tell us in Surah az-zaariyaat **و ما خلقت الجن والإنس الا ليعبدون
**
** I.e. “so that we may worship Allah”. Therefore, we should try and promote worship of Allah and not discourage people from worshipping.**"
When I went to Saudia for Umrah, I saw the same, didn’t see any Arabs doing special prayer on Shab-e-barat but it couldn’t change my Aqeedah , for them almost everything is bidda’a.
Exactly, that’s the whole point. :k:
It is the special night of seeking forgiveness and repenting to Almighty Allah.
Please refer to the wiki link I posted. Saudis in haram are salafis and they have a very different view about each issue...we don't follow them in other things but when it comes to nafli ibadah we turn to them.
Like i said Allah knows better. Just giving my observation from Haram sharif. I do not necessarily believe/follow them.
Am just scared of advocating something as a biddat in Islam unless am very sure of the authenticity of hadith. And shabaan on the whole is a blessed month for nafli ibadat.

That's exactly what i think sometimes!!!
Peace pinkyy,
See the above underlintd text. We discuss such points with each others (online) while sitting in our home otherwise we have to go out physically to know/discussion and that is not so easily.
Back to the topic. Could you plz tell me how "shabaan" is the blessed month and 15th shabaan as "special night"?
So far I couldn't find any reference about being shabaan as 'blessed month' and 15th Shabaan as 'special night'. Hence in the link provided by Hareem01 written that this is followed in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Iran.
Still searching on it and if there is no reference than its a 'biddah'.

The same I read in the book "Majmooa Fazail-e-Fiqri" written by "Allama Aalm Fiqri" and the same hadith of Hazrat Aisha r.a. is quoted in it but there is no reference.
