Now it is when quarter of it is left. Since husband takes care of it now.

When I was on my own it was usually when fuel is going to end anytime :P

Filling my motorbike is lot cheaper than filling up a car. So I used to fill it up with enough fuel to last me a regular week. But this was back when I was using it to commute to university. I use the bus now, so keeping the gas tank full probably isn't a good idea, because Gas has a limited shelf life(2-6 months). Don't want my bike running on gas older than a month.

Same goes for the car at home. It isn't used much, so I never fill it up more than a quarter tank. Besides this is Karachi, there are gas stations everywhere.

I have a fixed budget. I fill up with only Rs 1000. Recently I hiked the budget to Rs. 1500 due to the price rise :)..

I always like to drive around until it is literally empty. In Bangalore, you dont have to bother. You can park the car anywhere and run to get a can of petrol :p

Shhh! That's not the point! When the gas light is flickering, the paranoia about my car stalling goes up, and turning off the radio makes me think I'm conserving gas - it's psychological :D

That’s me! I don’t mind paying for gas…just hate pumping gas and the smell of it.

yeah I have ‘driven it out’ many times. So much so that had to get a rickshaw couple of times and bring petrol back in a bottle :hehe:

Radio does run on gas since gas charges battery which runs radio. So turning off headlights etc will extend range.

Depends on how long the trip is. Everyday = when the light is on. Road trip = when there's about a quarter left

normally at half full
