My mom got my done when I was only 2 months old :frowning: but I dont want to get my daughter’s done before she is 4-5 years old. When did you get your girl’s ears pierced ?

i had mine done when i was an hour old.. THATS how totally normal it is in arabia :D they didnt even bother asking my dad (not that he would have said no), and the first time my parents saw me after delivery, i was wearing ruby studs in gold bedding :D

i dont know if its a myth or fact.. but they say it should be done very early on, before the first birthday , so that the holes never close even if u dont wear earrings.. i think its somewhat true cuz i had my 2nd hold pierced when i was 20 i think.. and initially i wore something in them all the time.. but in the past 2 yrs i havent and i have to fight my way to put something into them from time to time.. whilst the first holes, i have no issues with

if i had a daugther .. she would have holes before the first birthday.. just cuz its more cultural for me.

omg that is soo strange but yet sooo cute :slight_smile: seeing your daughter first time with ears already pierced :wub:

but i worry too much about how much she will cry , how much pain she’ll be having :teary2:

Nah man, don't like it so young.

I'm not gettin hers done untill maybe 10 or 11 that's if she wants them.

IA i plan to have hers pierced before her 1 yr bday too... maybe after 6 months or more. its a gud idea cus the baby looks more cute with small tops :)

I think the smaller the baby the better , coz i heard it doesnt hurt as much :hmmm: .. but then if they are in pain , they wont be able to tell :no: … thats even freakier ..

My parents had mine pierced when I was a few months old, but I would pull on them, so they took out the earrings and the hole closed. I think I was 3 or 4 when I got them repierced, and I can still remember going up to the mirror afterwards!

I haven't had my daughter's ears pierced yet, but she is just two months old. I think her father would have ten cows if I tried to pierce them now. :D

I got my daughter's done when she was 6 months old. Everyone kept saying how its better to do it sooner since they cannot pull on them. My husband was also afraid of how much she was going to cry, but she only cried for like a minute or two at the most and then got busy watching herself in the mirror at the store, lol. So i say, the sooner you get it done, the better. she is a 1 year old now and would definetly be pulling at it if i got them now.

i had mine pierced when i was around 5 i think. i still remember going in with my mom and getting them done :p

i wouldn't get them any earlier than 3 or 4 years though. just so that they're old enough to understand and not pull on them and cause any problems.

Both daughters at 15 months. No complications, no crying, no infections...doing great.

My sister and i were five years old when we had ours pierced. Around last February, i had both of my daughters’ ears pierced. They were three and six respectively. Mr Maroush did not agree but i got them done anyway. It took him a whole day to realise :cb:, cos they have long hair, so their ears were covered.

To say we “merely exchanged words” is an understatement. He really was not happy at the time. :no:

^ that should be when they are grown ups, I don't think I'd like a nose pin on a young girl.

Nose pins are a big :nono4: for me, especially on young girls. Just done a quick mental check in my mind and realised that no women in my family (inc. extended) have their noses pierced, same goes for the women on Mr Maroush’s side of the family, which only consists of his sister and his mum…but yeah, no nose piercings here…:hmmm:

I can’t imagine ever getting my nose pierced, and i wouldn’t want my daughters to get their nose pierced. I don’t like the thought of having an obstruction in your nasal passage way. How would i blow my nose?! :naak:

But then… i see some girls/brides with their nose pierced and i think it looks so cute!

Nope - didn't get them pierced yet. They can decide for themselves if they want it or not. Ear and nose.

Maroushie , my thoughts exactly … I was put under so much pressure to have my nose pierced at the time of the wedding .. but thankfully my mom took my side and totally refused to see me with a pierced nose :lifey: .. phew .. bach gayi bi …no women in our family have nose pins ..

Back to the ears … Maroush did the girls experience pain after their ears were done? and if they did , for how long? just out of curiosity :hmmm:
