When did you first become a mother?

Re: When did you first become a mother?

^ but why is it so wrong for women to want to be self-satisfied and fulfilled in their careers before deciding to have children? a lot of women don't feel ready until they're older and/or just want to be more independent and more sure of themselves before they commit to birthing a child. having a child is just the beginning, its a job for the rest of your life so i think its important that women, as primary caregivers, go into it with clear heads and no regrets.

What is so selfless about having a baby?

Wow desigirl. I didnt know you were expecting.. congratulations.

These days, people in their 40s tend to be healthier (and i mean REAL healthy, not hte seriously bass-ackwards desi version of "healthy") than before......a woman who is healthy enough to conceive a child and have a normal pregnancy will probably be healthy enough to take care of her kid til later in life.

Some people in their 20s and 30s aren't financially stable and that stress can contribute to poor health and even poor parenting (taking out frustrations on each other, the children etc).

More importantly, why should you have a problem, regardless, of what any woman does or when she has a child or what her reason is for wanting or not wanting children?
Are they taking anything away from you?
