I have had an interesting time reading the posts in this thread.
Base on my personal experience, Arabs do discriminate against non Arabs. Just the other day my brother refused to meet our new neighbors who are Arabs. His reasoning is that Arabs look down upon other Muslims who are not of Arab heritage. My father who performed Hajj in 2003, says that in Saudi Arabia locals refer to Pakistanis as "Maskeen".
After 9/11 when US economy was going through hell, my then unemployed husband tried his level best to find a job in Middle-east. He specially tried to find a teachers position in a Qatar school but despite sending/faxing his resumes numerous times he never heard from them and then the school web-site showed the position being filled by a Mr. Smith from UK. His qualification were no greater then my own husband's.
By the way, my husband and I did go to meet our new Arab neighbors and find them to be a delightful couple. In fact the Mrs. has kindly agreed to give Quran lessons to my 5 -year daughter.
I willconclude my post with some thing I 've already mentioned previously" the above account/opinion is based on my personal experience". All others are of course welcome to their personal opinions.
