I dunno what's worse for kids....divorced parents...or parents who stay "married" and expose the child to their broken relationship, anger, fights..and any type of abuse..
90% of the husbands would prolly be really depressed and will most likely get over it... but the remaining 10% WILL KILL!!!

I dunno call me pessimistic but a woman would be more likely to take a cheating husband back....while the cheating wife would be kicked out/divorced whatever.

Men usually react more aggressively compared to women. Also, according to relationship psychologists, men are more struck by their partners physical intimacy with someone else rather than emotional intimacy (it's the opposite for women).

now on topic, the reaction will depend in which situation he brought up, education level, status .. and many other factors.
God forbid if i was that guy, i will be heart broken but will not make it like national issue or broadcast to rest of the world.. - all i will do time to talk and say good bye.
If the guy lives in some mountains or cave of Afghanistan/Pakistan - then let me assure, you will only see pieces of wife.
So hence education/status/environment plays a big role.
Guys will react in different ways, it depends on the individual. I knew of a guy who actually caught his wife in the act with her very own cousin. He still forgave her and now they have a daughter together. Then, I'm pretty sure there are some guys who would walk away and not look back if their wife so much as kissed another bloke.

Hard to generalize anyone gender.
For any particular person it will depend on many factors such as:
-Is he aggressive or pessimist
-prior level of love and commitment he feels for her
-bilateral relationship pattern
-if he himself is cheating
-how he finds out and who tells him
- who she cheated with meaning how much he hated the other guy
-did he already have a plan to leave her or she had same plan
etc.
Concur with Sara that men will generally be less inclined to take their wives back or let it go than women.

Depends on the relationship and the extent of cheating I guess and the guy. I know a couple of guys who luv their spouses so much that even if their spouses did sum stupid mistake and realize it and feel guilty abt it they will take them back with open hearts. And their are some other guys also who will not hesitate leaving her if they hv just a suspicion of being cheated

It could work when the kids are very young but as they grow older they sense the bitter taste at home. That could have a negative impact on them.

^I never said that education/status/environment will have no bearing on the situation. Although...losing control of your emotions...can ALSO transcend education, status, and environment. Educated and wealthy person can lose their mind as well.
I didn't say that betrayed husbands would behave EXACTLY the same as betrayed wives. What I was trying to say is that the EMOTIONS would be similar (similar doesn't mean exact). What you're talking about is actions. Hitting/Beating/Violence in general...even giving a divorce are all actions. The emotions that fuel these actions can include but are not limited to feelings of rejection, ego being hurt, etc. The basic emotions (not talking about actions here) IMO....would be similar for both genders in this situation. How the genders handle the emotions can vary.

i knew a frnd (she broke up wid me) around 2 yrs back. She was having an extra marital affair. One time her hubby called me n ask is nadia wid u, i said yes, coz i had her msg that her husband will call me, another time also happened the same thing. I tried asking nadia, aakhir baat kya hai, aur wo kuch nahi butati thi bus huns perhti thi....
teesri baar her hubby called me (at that time i was separated from my hubby) so i told him, bhai ap mujh say mil saktay ho.... then i discussed this with him kay apkay aur apki biwi ka taluq theek hai apas mein, he was like, there was a pause and i at once came to know something is wrong. Kyun nadia kahan hai, kya apkay saath nahi thi, thi per chali gai hai wapis ghar, kyun ap say baat nahi hui, bus g kya butaoun wo mera ph he nahi uthati aj kul shaam kay waqt

i knew a woman who got caught cheating on her husband. but i think the husband forgave her because of kids n stuff.
