Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
No idea.
From what I read on these forums is that most sunnis would not even consider other sunnis as sunnies (or Muslims). So, it gets a bit complicated ![]()
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
^so basically this conversation isn’t going anywhere lol thanks.

The Souls Never Die - Sunni Islam
Death is separation of body and soul - Sunni Islam
We can not make the dead Hear, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala can, So if you speak to passed away people it is in a state which brings together many aspects of Islam. That is why our Manners around Graves are very respectful, and we give Salam to the Muslim inhabitants of Graves. And pray Quran for them, and settle them in The Grave, and then they are questioned [the souls are questioned], and even after we avoid anything which causes them discomfort
Shias generally followed Sunnis, but they may word things differently and attribute everything to Imams, and Sunni Islam does not support Shias at All
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
The views are not mere speculations, The Quran Pak and Sunnah of Nabi Pak SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam have confirmed to us what we did not know. Those 1) who believe, 2) have knowledge, and 3) understanding We know what happens after death to a great degree
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
This is in Quran.

:
And say not of those who are killed in the Way of Allah, “They are dead.” Nay, they are living, but you perceive (it) not.
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
That is for Martyrs in battle only! That is not for the likes me and you when we die.
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
**
This is what happens to the dead**
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: sadaqah jaariyah (ongoing charity, e.g. a waqf or endowment), beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), or a righteous child who will pray for him.”
(Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no 1376; he said this is a saheeh hasan hadeeth)
And here we have people wanting to get help from someone who him self has all his deeds come to an end now!!!
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
This is what happens to the dead
**Prayers for forgiveness offered by both sons and daughters of the deceased bring great benefits, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A man’s status will be raised in Paradise and he will ask, ‘How did I get here?’ He will be told, ‘By your son’s du’aa’s (prayers) for forgiveness for you.”
(Reported by Ibn Maajah, no 3660; see also Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1617) **
Your prayers help him! You think he will help you when in need of help himself?!!?!
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
The Companions (Allah is pleased with them) would look for ways to help the dead not ask them for help!!!
Another thing that may reach the deceased is sadaqah (charity) given on his behalf, because ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) reported that a man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “My mother has passed away, and if she could have spoken, she would have given something in charity. Will she receive a reward if I give something on her behalf?” He said, “Yes.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, Fath, 1388)
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
You need to look for ways of getting rid of the sins of the dead not asking them to get rid of yours!!!
Abu Hurayrah reported that a man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “My father has died and left money behind. He did not make a wasiyyah (a will); will it expiate for his sins if I give some of it in charity on his behalf?” He said, “Yes.”
(Reported by al-Nisaa’i)
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
Not to mention you do not even know if the person who died was truly pious or just one destined to hell!!! How can you ask a dead “saint” when he never was a “saint” in front of Allah but only in front of you!
“from Abu Hurayrah, who said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah say, ‘ Verily, the first to be judged on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who had died as a martyr.
He will be brought forward. Allah will remind him of the favours He had bestowed upon him and the man will acknowledge them. Then He will ask him: What did you do to express gratitude for it?’ The man will reply: I fought for Your Cause till I was martyred.’ Allah will say: `You have lied. You fought so that people might call you courageous; and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell.
Next a man who had acquired and imparted knowledge and read the Qur’an will be brought forward, Allah will remind him of the favours He had bestowed upon him and the man will acknowledge them. Then He will ask him: What did you do to express gratitude for it?’ The man will reply: I acquired knowledge and taught it, and read the Qur’an for Your sake.’ Allah will say to him: `You have lied. You acquired knowledge so that people might call you a learned (man), and you read the Qur’an so that they might call you a reciter, and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him, and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell.
Next a man whom Allah had made affluent and to whom Allah had given plenty of wealth, will be brought forward, Allah will remind him of the favours He had bestowed upon him and the man will acknowledge them. He will ask him: What did you do to express gratitude for it?’ The man will reply: I did not neglect any of the ways You liked wealth to be spend liberally for Your sake’. Allah will say to him: `You have lied. You did it so that people might call you generous, and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell.”
And the wording, “So these are the first of Allaah’s creation the Fire will be kindled with on the Day of Resurrection“
Saheeh Muslim, 13/45/1905
All these appeared to be great people to those like us who did not know their intentions, but were destined for hell!!!
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
Did I say it’s about you and me? No…so stop spreading lies. Are martyrs better than prophets and awliya? If martyrs have that maqaam then prophets and awliya must be even higher than the ranks of shuhda. Even a 5 year old can tell you this.
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
You are misquoting Quranic Verses. The question is about dead and not martyrs. Try reading first and then misquoting
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
You are a five year old?
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
This is what your brothers are doing in Syria…getting rid of the dead altogether by digging up the graves.
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
Answer the question buddy. Are prophets better than shuhda or not?
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
Once you tell me if you are a five year old or not? ![]()
Re: When a pious person died they make a place of worship at his grave
While the wahabi led ISIS is destroying the graves of great scholars and awliya in Iraq and Syria…Saudis are turning the birthplace of Ibn Wahab into a tourist attraction. Great. :k: This is all we muslims need…more tourist attractions more shopping malls more junk food chain stores.
