Yeah but why? I cant get hold a nuke so fast, but getting aboard a ship and sailing away takes me much less time and effort and besides one would hope the disease would eventually kill off most of the people and sad while it might be one can just contentdly sail around and stay clear of land for a while.
I mean there are supplies on board a decent schooner with a total passenger capacity including crew of about 48 for a 6 month voyage no problem and water treatment tanks that convert sea water to drinking water so theres no shortage of water either... plus enough ammunition to see off any coastal raiders in case zombies figured out how to sail.
I think the sea would be fine unless there was like mega storms.

I agree, the sea would be the best option, but you would have to have supplies and/or tools to help you survive.
And CM, you can't use nukes, that's just cheating.

Well naturally modern sailing vessels are the best they have ever been and a decent schooner with sectioned hull and both sails and a diesel powered marine engine would be my first choice, Catamrans and Yachts migh be rich boys toys but merchant class ships and ocean boats that use both sails and marine engines would be the best options since they have bigger storage for tools and weapons..
