Well what is it? Me? Simple. Grab the nearest AK-47 and head to FATA. With all those Jihadi’s there I know for a fact that they will consider all Zombies demons and devil worshippers. I will live out my life with me family in peace and quiet while blowing up some Zombies.

Oh and that reminded me of The Road, another apocalyptic themed movie, it has no zombies but cannibals. One of the best movies on this topic imo.

Well I think a zombie apocalyse is allready here, just instead of walking dead who try and eat you... the walking dead are just slaves to the serpents in power.
However in the case of a classic George Rommero Zombie apocalypse I've got it all figured out. I take my fammily and anyone else that I can save onto a delightful sailing ship. Now I live in a rural area so assuming a Zombie outbreak most likely would take place in a city I could easily drive along the motorway to the coast and avoid most of the major concentrations of zombies. Once aboard ship we can sail out to sea and either shelter in the nearest nonaffected nation or if the worst scenario the whole world is full of the virus then we will sail between islands and live off the land.
Naturally for protection at once the greatest survival rifle would be that most reliable of Soviet exports the humble AK, but such a noisy weapon could attract more zombies in a city area so my advice for others would be utilise heavy crossbows becuase they are silent weapons and use shotguns for close work and blades with a heavy broad tang for up close and personal.
Now as I understand the good thing with being on a ship is there is very little chance of Zombies getting to you especially when you reach the open seas and so the chances of survivng become very high.
However if you live in a city your going to have a much harder fight. Best of luck to you comrades if World war z does happen then.

^ Very unlikely that zombies would ever get aboard a ship, especially an old fashioned schooner with a high deck and moored in a deep water port. For starters if they are the traditionally slow moving shuffling zombies then they would not have any way of getting the crew to lower the gangplank and gain access to the ships main deck.
Suppose the Zombies were more agile and cunning they would have to persuade the skeleton crew (no pun intented, its just a term for the under strenth crew, nromally 3 out of 20 men or so) to help them which if we suppose they did and then killed the crew, said Zombies would be temporarily in control of the ship.
However great thing about the open sea is zombies cannot sail a vessel and if they by some mircale could do that then they wouldn't be zombies at all. Now about the no weapons bit... seriously??? I migh be a very changed man who no longer thinks Violence is the first port of call...
but damn if theres anything I know really well its how to imporvise weapons... Zombies still dont stand a chance ;)
