My friends husband died a couple weeks ago and she told me a few weird things that have happened in her house since his death. She wasnt on her own her daughter witnessed these as well. They are convinced it is her husband. She is english.
I just wanted to get some views or experiences from you regarding these sort of events.

Well one of the things she said was there was nobody else in the house except her and her daughter and they were in the kitchen and heard a creaking noise. When they went to see what it was the front door was wide open. Another one was a saucepan going crazy in the kitchen. She said it was just a normal saucepan empty and it was just rattling on its own until she grabbed it to stop it.

Both of them forgot to close the door all the way and lock it.
The sauce pan was vibrating and rattling because of the earth quake, which they could not feel but he sauce pan being so sensitive could feel the earth quake and wanted to alert them so that they can get out of the house and take shelter.
I lived in Pakistan in a house which was next to a Qabrustan. So many times we say ghosts enjoying our left over biryani and nihari in the night. I guess they could smell the biryani and nihari being cooked but they were scared of the humans and decided to sneak in the night.
Why do ghosts show up in the night not in the day ? Makes you wonder. No ?

I used to get scared fast as a kid. I read like every scary story I could get my hands on.
My own scary story goes like this::
In our house in pakistan we had a big huge metal structure covering an open spot on 3rd story. You can think of it as 25-30 feet square metal umbrella.
Or an 25-35 feet square dish antenna put on the roof face down.
one night some thing shook it. (its made of very thick metal and grounded well, so it wont fly in the strom)
My nephew and his mamoon were up stair(level just below that metal umbrella).
The heard a huge tremor coming from metal structure. It is so heavy that no one could have shook it.
Their was no earthquake.
And following summer me and little brother were sleeping on the roof top.
Next to that metal thingie. When stones started falling on the roof.
We both woke up it was full moon night. Surprisingly I wasn't scared at all.
I wanted to make for my self that its actually happeneing.
So I saw stones rooling on the canopy and the falling down on the roof.
There was no one there. I totaly made sure checked all possible sides.
Stayed there for a while.
Absolutely nothing we could see but stones kept coming.
What ever it was it didn't want to hurt us. For sure.

By ghost if you mean that the soul is coming back to the house then I always wonder ..
If I die, and I get a chance to visit my family, I might do it in a very non scary and non threatning way, I will avoid to scare the living daylight out of them.
If soul of the husband is trying to contact, why can't he do it in more friendly way. like leaving a flower on the table .. or better .. visit them in dreams

Jin and bhoot are two different things. We believe in Jin because they are mentioned in our Quran. But bhoot we believe in from childhood stories. Most grown ups do believe in their existance. I do not. My take is if someone was not powerful enough to save himself/herself from death. How can they be powerful enough to do supernatural things. Nothing can be more super ultimate than saving yourself from death. No ?

Seriously, once someone has died, he/she cannot return to "visit" you. Have some faith, will ya!
Jinns do exist ; however, for all you know they maybe around you most of the day, and you wouldn't even know about it. Some of the Jinns are good, some bad. Some like to bother humans, while others just want to live in peace and harmony.

Like i said bro, Jinns do exist. Some are not so good, some are.
My cousin got slapped once in a storage room and he ran out the house screaming. It was a jinn.
