So I’ve noticed that some Pakistanis’ like reading/following their horoscopes. Some take it more seriously than others, but most of my friends who live in my city have ALWAYS asked me at some point, ‘what’s your (star) sign?’.
Personally, I don’t follow it myself, I find that it’s too wishy-washy for me, I think that horoscopes tend to tell you what you want to hear/believe, and it’s a little passive to place your future on the advice of the latest Psychic Meg who wrote a poem in the Metro that day.
Plus of course, there are the Islamic implications attached which tend to disapprove of this kinda stuff.
So who follows them? How often and why do you do so? Also, who out of you don’t follow them, and why not?
I don't follow them.......its utter non-sense n BS........... a single friggin horoscope for all the countless people who were born in that month......... pure BS..
i think......its people with underdeveloped brains who believe and follow those things....
Its been ages that I read 'Yeh hafta kaisa rahega' in any of the new papers. But I always enjoyed killing my time by reading that page when I didn't have to read anything light.
^yes especially reading horoscopes etc is wrong...there's a hadith I think which says your prayers wont be accepted for a month or so. Not sure about the number.
I really dont believe in this either. It's all cooked up random stuff.
I really dislike this sign stuff. Isn't this haram?
Yup, you're not meant to look for this kinda guidance from anyone except Allah. It's kinda like saying someone other than God has the power to tell you the future etc etc.
Never cared much... dont really think theres much to the stars apart from being excellent navigation guides. However for the record my star sign is Airies. Now some would say I embody the Arian character but thats just silly... I am not like a Ram at all.
I know in Chinese they say I am a dragon...
Islamically I fell in Sha'ban which can also be interpreted in many ways...
But I am not sure whether one can put much trust in stars and even if you could, dont depend on them. Make what you will of your own life.

Its the Islamic Month for that year in which I was born I believe it fell on Shabaan which was around springtime... in the West I guess it was March, or April...
I don't follow them, they're just so broad that they fit to everybody's needs, whether they fit into an 18 year old girls life, or a 60 year old womans. I go to the extent of not revealing my star sign to people because it's pretty pathetic - not to mention it's haram.
I read somewhere once that reading horoscopes (and inter alia) is like a human trying to open up a rose so that it blossoms, but we all know that it will only blossom beautifully if it's not interferred with.
