Buying cigarettes and wines for personal use or Business purpose ] from cheap destination is Not a FOB or European Eastern ] mentality only - Every one does that ...

Have you never heard of Britishers going to destination like Belgium , Turkey and Spain and arriving back loaded with Tobacco , Fags and wines - and believe me it comes quite handy as the Golden Virginia is now £4.40 in Belgium (4.90 euro). The same pack costs £12.75 in the U.K :)

Oh and not to forget the sky high fares of air-tickets and trains, so only a stupid person would travel from UK to some other country just for the sake of saving £8 per pack.

Again - I didn’t state that people only travel to cheap destinations for buying cheap fags - It is more or less like cashing the bounties on the way back home :slight_smile:

the prices you quoted come to £70 on average…then there are living expenses as well which may come to around £100.

So a person spends £170 to buy 10 packs, each costs £4.40 (price in UK £12.75).

How much does he save?

btw, i thought there were no baggage restriction if you’re travelling through a ferry.

Again you are assuming that they travel to these destinations just for buying cheap stuff .. I didnt say that ....

It is like mixing business with pleasure - same as the lady discussed in this thread ... Do you think she traveled to Pakistan just for buying those 89 sleeves ?

No it's not business coz they're buying the wine and stuff for their own use instead of selling it here in UK to make up the money they spent on the ticket etc. So what are you exactly saying?
