Why do some men hold their women’s handbags/purses???
I think they look ridiculous by holding a woman’s bag. I’ve seen it’s more common in newly married couples. Do women make them hold their bags or it’s just the drag queen inside them?

Yes, we do. What else am I gonna do with my bag when I need to put my coat on or do something else. It probably has his car keys and wallet in to too so quit complaining.
Personally, I think it's more ridiculous when men put everything into their trouser pockets and have bulges in all the wrong places.

Whenever out with my older brother I always ask him to hold my handbag if I'm putting my coat on or something. He always obliges, and trust me he is not a drag queen. He's a 6'2 guy but he has no problems holding it for me - because he's my brother! And who cares what other people think?!
I actually think its quite cute when a guy holds his wife/sister/mums handbag for a few seconds when asked to!

My newly married cousin used to hold his wife’s bag and walk behind her…I thought may be he’s doing it out of respect.

i wasn't talking about holding it for few minutes, of course that's pretty normal.......i was pointing at men who actually constantly hold their women's bag in public and without any reason.

if it’s your brother, then they will begrudgingly do it, because you have to emotionally blackmail them. it’s so cute to make them look awkward.
if it’s the significant other, it’ sa perfectly good nishani of them being whipped 
because trust me, guy friends or cousins would never ever hold your purse
