My friends will insist upon holding my bag if it is too heavy for me to carry- regardless of the frills attached.

i don't think there's anything wrong with a guy offering to hold a girls purse! personally, i'd rather hold my own but i don't think it's strange when i see other people doing it.
if a guy is holding his own purse, though.. that's a different story. man bags=no comment.

Occasionally, for very short time and out of shear need it is fine.
For example she has to try new clothes at the store and does not trust leaving the bag in empty cabin. Man can sit with her bag outside the cabin somewhere in the store.
The man just has to clarify to all women who look at him with query look...or pretend he is gay for fun! Holding it with his pinky off the bag! :)
I guess longer is marriage less is the man worried about these things.
Now holding it in public and walking with her or behind her.....is really weird!

I think I have asked hubby to hold purse as well - don’t recall the reason why but - he held it with a smirk that people would think he is gay

Yes, we do. What else am I gonna do with my bag when I need to put my coat on or do something else. It probably has his car keys and wallet in to too so quit complaining.
Personally, I think it's more ridiculous when men put everything into their trouser pockets and have bulges in all the wrong places.
men should not be allowed to have man-bags, its just not right
so some women think that men should not stuff their pockets with things they need
some dont want men to have any bag where they can carry items
and on a daily basis a dude needs a bunch of things to carry, lets make a list
sunglasses,
wallet,
cellphone,
moist wipes or hand cleanser (its a friggin dirty world out there),
keys,
tissues, so we are not sneezing or coughing in our hands, its just not civilized.
breathmints/gum- again...bad breath is just not civilized
when the weather is fluctuating, cold and rain etc
gloves,
hats,
scarves/mufflers.
umbrella
if they wear contact lenses then
lens case
rewetting drops
and eye glasses
cuz you may need to tale lenses out.
other things could include
transportpass
secure id tokens keytags (95% of desi women should not bother on tryiong to figure out what this is)
for smokers
cigarettes
lighters
if someone is unwell, it could be things like
inhalers
medicine
throat lozenges
I have not even listed things like lip balm cuz it appears women like men with chapped lips or guys licking lips like a greedy billa who has just seen some fish. god forbid if i start listing things like moisturizer or sunscreen.
The solution is simple, since I want to oblige both camps of women and to avoid bulging pockets and not having a man bag, especially when a man is one his own, it is mandatory to get an escort/concubine chica to carry your belongings.
Thank you for making the decision even clearer for all men. Now when I am on a business trip and someone in that city sees me with strange women, well...I needed someone to carry my stuff ya know.
PS: and yeah women need to learn how to hold their own bags while shopping or putting on their coats, men are not to be used as purse stands. Guys do it on a daily basis when they manage their work bags and outerwear.
PS2: I may have confused ladies with so much responsibility all of a sudden so here is a simplified approach...put purse down, put on coat, pick purse back up. practice in front of a mirror with a friend reading instructions for each step and soon you will get the hang of it.

I dont see any problems holding a purse just for a quick thing or so (as mentioned by DIWANA) however extended period of time is a total :nono: and I do agree with PIR SAHAB we got **** load of thing we need as well, why arent girls considerate of that

My brother holds my bag all the time when out. I dont think a guy mate ever has though as I think they would be too afraid to ask me.
These days no one even helps me carry my trolly dolly up stairs at the train station, a few years ago they did. Flipping Southerners.
