Looking at the record, there have been only 4 matches between the two teams since 1975 which India Won.
So the 4 matches span around 36 years. On average one game in 9 years. For me this statistics is totally crap. I do not get why Indian media and everyone else just start tooting their horn about this stats of idiotic proportion. Get over with it.
Re: What's up with the hype about India not losing any of WC games against Pakistan?
^ Once the next match is over, that would make it 5 matches in a row that India has one. My Statistics book tells me that 5 wins in 36 years makes this statistically significant.

The next match is not started yet and you are not Almighty to know what's coming up next. Seriously get over with it and start worrying about hadi torh bowling using black stone :D

OK - serious reply coming up. 4 wins in 36 years is not significant. World cup comes once in 4 years. So cumulatively teams do not play each other enough to arrive at any statistically significant conclusion.
Better way to assess performance would be to look at the record of the teams against each other in all important tournaments. (I have no clue what those would be, since I mainly used to watch Test cricket in the old days, and so all this power play (batting, bowling power play) etc is all new to me.
Once we have consensus on what the top flight tournaments are, see what the cumulative win/loss numbers are for the team teams over the last 36 years (1975 being the starting point since that is when one day matches started).
I wonder how the numbers play out. Let the (potato) chips fall where they may.

Good research. Does not look good for India based on this research. But you still know India will win the next one :)
No. I still do not know that. But I know that Pakistan chased successfully to India's 321 in Mohali on a day-night ODI. I also know that the wicket will help fast bowlers than spinners. Since the ball skids on the wicket, spinner like Afridi will exploit the opportunity. Over all, Pakistan will have an advantage.

I thought the wickets have been prepared to favor batsmen.
