i mean whenever i gave someone a dua (unintentionally), there are many who dont even bother to say thank you. whereas expecting them to give me dua in return is out of the question.
what makes them think that they deserve my duas!
not only this, but people in pakistan disrespect fakeer as if owning the money is a big thing. if they dont want to give those fakeer any of their money its okay, but why they disrespect them.
they dont even think that those people might be closer to ALLAH SWT then they themselves!
what makes them think that being rich or being brainier (which leaded them towards good education) actually is some quality they built themselves?
That is the problem of the day, my friend. With advancement comes exposure, exposure to worldly things, things that maybe OK in other religions but a matter of concern in ours. Our sense of judgement has become offtrack. I think the value of deen is diminishing in our society. We as individuals must make every effort to keep it alive.
Zobia, let's do the best we can, instill those values in our children and Insha'Allah things will get better.

am eating, gotto go soon so cant write much... but i think it all comes down to gharoor (arrogance)... these ppl shud realise that shaitan's very first sin was arrogance as well... and look where he'll end up!
Dua to me is just well wishing no more no less. Don't know of any authentic study if ever done on the subject if it even works or not.
Not saying thanx to well wishes recieved is just ill mannered as far as I am concerned. But the well wishes reciever is not duty bound to say thanks in return.
But asking for thanx in return is plain lame. Don't wish them next time if you are so bothered.
i'll say with that attitude, zobia you can keep your stock of duas to urself. i'm sure people won't mind bcos they are already not acknowledging you throwing ur duas at them for free. lets be realistic. a dua is a good deed. u did it on your part and then time to move on. whether others appreciate it or no should not be your concern. this attitude of "not getting thanx in return" is just lame to say the least. tum dua do aur chalti phirti nazar aao.
fakeer...well its really difficult to find a genuine fakeer these days. however, if a fakeer were to stand next to me, i'll get more money than him. bcoz i look like a genuine fakeer than any other fakeer you'll ever see in your live. :@: besides begging is a business these days so save your money for some reliable charity organization where you know your money will be put to good use.
ooo…come on i have ALLHUMDULLAH enough people around me who do the same job…its just when two muslim do the ziker-e-ALLAH (SWT), Angels gather around them, and they invite other angels…and it gives me sensation…
