^ Most Bengali weddings they serve tandoori or lamb with naan, then biryani + pilau and with other little bits and pieces, it's really only the paindu ones who serve fish at weddings..
The late thing is common, even for my brother's engagement his fiance was about 2 hours late and everyone got really fed up..
A lot of things are different cos of the old Hindu influences, those weird dots on the forehead used to be common tho not anymore, also instead of Mehndi they used to do Gaye Halud where that horrible paste stuff is smeared over the bride's face and arms and make her look like she's got jaundice. That's not so common now either tho. If u look at old pics u'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between a Bengali Muslim bride and an Indian Hindu one..
