For me it would be a car accident I was involved in recently. I was in front passenger’s seat and we had a nasty collision with a truck. Fortunately, no one was injured but it was very clear to both the parties that a very little speed variation of either vehicle could have been fatal as the truck would have hit our car on the passenger side and completely crushed it under it’s giant front.
Re: What's the closest you have ever come to death?
Numerous times but the ones which stand out most are
2 years old- Catching pneumonia and spending months in intensive care.
7 years old- Being involved in a serious car crash. :( Other people lost their lives in this but somehow I pulled through. Spent many months in hospital and after that recovery took over a year.
12 years old- asthma attack. Good job my brother found me when he did.
I honestly feel very lucky to be alive and healthy alhamdulilah. When I have a down day or feel upset, I reflect upon how I should just be thankful that I have lived to see another day.

no thank god, but fiance was there during the pakistani 2005 earthquake, he just managed to escape his campus building before it collapsed, quite a few people died....so sad....
We don’t realise how fragile life is until we come to the brink of death. We often have this subconscious idea within us that we will live to a ripe old age, but who knows what tomorrow or even the next sec, min, hour will hold.

Let's just be thankful for all we have mashallah.

Re: What's the closest you have ever come to death?
I was robbed two times at gun point. Once gun was sticking to my head and at the other time it was pointed towards me from close enough distance that a fire would surely kill me.
Next question please ?
