Hi. I havent posted for nearly 2 years but I need your help again.
Yes it is to do with my husband again, surprise surprise.
All has been going well for a while now and hes very calm. I’m working full time nowearning as much as him if not more.
The problem is he wont let me wear jeans. I went to the suprmarket wearing them last night and he went off on one. Its not like theyre tight fitting or showing my butt cos I had a kameez over them and my coat.
Anyway I always wear trousers with a kameez on top anyway what difference should the material make?
Can anyone shed any light on this?
By the way he drinks sharab and comes home in the evening pretending I dont know what I’m talking about when I tell him he’s been drinking.
I even warned him the other day that if he comes home drunk again I will wear my jeans out. And he did it.
Whats the big deal? Its not like I’ve been out naked is it?

I think you two need to sit and talk with each other about differences (dislikes/likes, needs, wants etc)... looks like it goes deeper than it being just about you wearing jeans... :)

Hmm.. difficult situation babez. U both really have to talk with each other,
But you can't talk with ur Hubby if he is drunk, a question is he drunk everyday?
And maybe its better if you take help somewhere outside or something. Wearing
jeans is not that big deal in mah eyes, i also wear jeans and mah Hubby is Ok with it.
I dont know why ur hubby make a Big deal of it it is not that ur wearing short skirt or somethin' Anywayz i hope everything will be fine with u both and search for help coz i think u can't work dis out urself.

Your husband drinks and yet he has a problem with you wearing jeans (even though in my opinion there is nothing wrong with wearing jeans as long as they are not tight)??? He sounds irrational.

Hes hates me wearing work clothes. I don't wear western clothes at all except for work. The rest of the time I'm in a kameez. Hes always got a problem with me going places on my own as if he doesnt trust me.
He will go out and drink and he thinks its okay cos no one has seen him. But its not okay for me to wear jeans. A denim jacket is fine I can wear that but not the trousers. He's scared of what people will think if I'm wearing jeans but he's not bothered that Allah can see him drinking even if nobody else does.
Hes the most desi FOB you've ever known.

this whole marriage is messed up. u need to talk to him about all the other problems. i am sure there is much more going on than just his drinking problem and his attitude about u wearing jeans.
