It's a funny world.
Recently one of our family friends had a huge argument about wearing jeans as well BUT in this case, the GANJA uncle wanted his wife to wear JEANS to look good and more fashionable BUT the poor aunty DID not want to wear jeans at any cost.:)
In ebrima_jallow's case, her hubby is worried about his "KHOKHLI GHAIRAT" but one day he will realise that the bigger "BEGHAIRTI" is to come DRUNK in front of her than her wearing normal jeans with Qameez and coat.
But seriously, you can sacrifice for the sake of your marriage. You need to sit down with him and talk about it very politely that you don't wear it to expose or something but you are ready to give it up but tell him that he needs to STOP drinking as well and keep reminding him all the time.

Yes, the seller is also somewhat responsible for ones intoxication. because they are selling the product that is haram. Lajjo, zara parho thora sa, she said she wears a coat or kameez over her jeans. In this context jeans are not haram :p

Well hes fine now nice as pie. Back to normal. He doesnt think hes doing anything wrong you see. He says as long as Im not coming home and fighting with you or kids, then drinking is fine. 
He wont listen to reason.

Perhaps you could show him aya's concerning drinking? Maybe a third party could talk to him, someone he looks up to maybe.
And with jeans, as far as I know, in reality any clothing imitating westerners is bad. We are not supposed to immitate non - muslims. So when you look at it from that point of view, then jeans would be bad. (then we would also have to ban many other things besides clothes I guess)
On the other hand, clothes taht don't show naked body parts and that aren't too tight are ok. Quran doesn't say wear shalwar kameez, it tells us to cover up in a decent way.
So as long as the kameez you wear over your jeans isn't too tight, it shouldn't be forbidden. Or a long blouse that falls over your bottom and has long sleeves. You can search for long untight blouses. And not all jeans models are tight.
Most shalwar kameez nowadays are just as bad as the western clothing. They are see through, or too tight, or sleeveless. As long as the clothing isn't revealing or too tight, it shouldn't matter what material they're made from.

no seriously…ask him why he doesnt want you wearing jeans. mention the fact that they cover you just as well as shalwars do. Mention that they are not fitted either. Make sure u ask him exactly why he is bothered by it. Does he think it is islamically wrong to be wearing a cloth of the west or does he really think that they dont provide enough coverage. Or maybe he thinks that by wearing jeans you will be looked upon as a “MODERN” woman which he would not like. If he is able to communicate find out the exact reason and IF he says something pertaining to islam…THEN point out the drinking issue and how that isnt islamically right either.
P.S. this is just an advice…if i were in your place i woulda left him.

Your hubby is damn right...jeans are for coalminers and not for girls...try to wear something more attractive and comfortable...like a lacha or dhoti...hmmmmmmm

ebrima why r u with this guy again? How can you have kids with a guy like that? Its your fault as much as its his, for not MAKING him understand. You obviously dont like him much, then leave him. If you cant leave him, dont talk about ur husband on a public msg board like this atleast, makes you look bad. The ******* will burn in hell(maybe) if he doesnt change.

Give her a break, it's an anonymous forum (well, for most of us anyway). What's wrong with asking advice for a problem?
And leaving husbands isn't that easy, even if the lady wants to. And sometimes, you keep trying to make people understand and still they don't get it.

Maybe it's the type of jeans you wear. If you are wearing some wrangler or some ill fitting types then I can understnad why your husband is upset. You should try some nicer jeans, low cuts, hope you do leg lifts for a tight abdomen, and show him that he is out of his skull for stopping you from wearing jeans.

Your husband is just trying to control you. This could be an argument about you wearing make-up in public. There's nothing wrong with jeans themselves. They're denim pants, big deal. Just call them dungarees when he comes home drunk and maybe he'll change his mind.

the only thing i can say other than talk to him (which im sure you've done numerous times already) is pray...pray that Allah (swt) leads him to the right path.

Those pant-kurti suits girls are wearing nowadays make them look like whorez... I hate them... They're bayhayaa but not even hot and soo ungracefull..
What pisses me off is even some Chachi girls are wearing them now, I don't really care what Punjabi, Mirpuri, Muhajir and Afghani girls do anymnore because a lot of them (not all) don't have very high morals but when I see girls from our villages doing things like that I feel like smacking them silly and what pisses me off even more is there brother is usually a tableeghi yet he can't even keep his own family in check.. jamaat is irrlevant stuff, if u want to be good person u have to follow ur values.
