Here are two images the first is the Ulta pallu or gujrati style that comes from the back and the second is the traditional style or front pallu. As you can see if you drape it properly tummy wont show even with a tiny blousey.

sadzzz sari on an engagement ooh la la.. Mehnaz is right bout prestiched sari.. My muani had a prestictched sari, it didnt fall the way it was suppose to .. but it was easy n comfortable, i dont wear saris, but when i do, i have work at it to let the sari not work me.. the whoel tripping n comin undone... sigh.. a fiasco.. but then again im the biggest clutz..
N manomano, ure right just as well prestiched is a good start for beginners.

yeah Devi, i dont really know the difference between the prestitched and the normal ones.. my sis-in-law says the fall is still pretty good, so im gonna take her word for it... trust me, noone can beat me at being a cluts.. i jsut gotta pray i do arrite on the day

Here is a prestitched sari- if its stiched right, u really cant tell the difference!

I think diversity in the event joras is wonderful-
Sari for engagement, churridar kurta for mayoun, shalwar kameez or ghagra kurti for mehndi, lehnga or gharara for shadi and sharara/angrakha or rajhistani lehnga for valima.
This way each time you are seen, its in a unique style

I had shalwar kamiz for the mangni/engagement
yellow tang pajama for the days before the wedding
my yellow-orange sharara for the mehndi
and a gharara for the shadi
my valima clothes are a angharka & churidaar

Iv just been speaking to my contacts and it turns out Orange and Magenta are really big this season. Short kameezay are also in as are afgani shalwars...whatever they are????

Afghani shalwars are the alladin style ones with the huge gher and tighter cuffs like harem pants…
Orange is huge no doubt… im not too big on magenta, it makes me look darker.

MM -- orange and magenta ARE really big -- i have a cute pant suit from last eid and also a sharara in that color combo. it looks really lovely.
