Don't the parlours in pak do consultations? I know over here, most brides go a few months ni advance to get their look for the wedding day, not sure if that exists in pak tho...

what kind of clothes would u reccommend me making for general wear…simple but elegant? party wear? or bridal touch clothing? what kind of stuff comes more in use after the wedding?

They dont from what i know, we had to pay full price of a complete bridal look at a trial (rs 13000) for Mehreen (phupis girl)… plus at most salons, the girls who work there do the makeup not the main artist…
But in either case, i think that you should take your own foundation and sponge cause that is one thing they really over do, the base as they call it.

It depends on where you will be right after the wedding like the first month. In india and pakistan i know the families want the girls to look like a dulhan for a while so kaam wala dresses are a must. I got work like dupka style done on georgettes instead of organza and silk and i got a lot more resham and sequins work cause yaar here in the USA i dont get a chance to dress up that much and the resham sequins can easily be worn to a get together and you can add a formal touch with good heavy jewelry for a mehndi etc…

Never tried but you can tell them you have sensitive skin and your doctor has said to use this foundation

I think im gonna take my own foundation... i dont want to look all fair and lovely on the day... natural would be the way to go!!

oh yikes....
i dunno....if my family wasn't in pak, i wud have my wedding here...it may be more expensive but hey at least its more organized and stuff...
what I'd do, I know what colors would like nice on me adn stuff but if i wanted to experiment, I'd go to the department stores here (macys) and ask em for a free makeover...theyll deff do that but i dn't think that would happen in pak....
its frustrating going makeup shopping there (or for anythign fro thatmatter)....i'm used to going to a store, finding what I need without having shopkeepers breathe down my neck like in pak...everythign is behind a showcase, you have to ask the shopkeepers and bug em n stuff n if u dont find wat u need they chase after you with other stuff that u dont even need..

can you get me a link to that thread? i dont think im going to buy any make up from pak…i have ultra sensitive skin so only use stuff like from body shop…no dodgy stuff from pk!

I jus tknow that the maroon outfit was hers, I’m not sure if she even got it from gujranwala… she cuda snuck to Lahore and gotten it
the second outfit, the orange one, was def from lahore..i was there when they bought it
