nice to read all replies but i'm surprised dat y do sme ppl bring masalas packets or desi ghee or milk ect bcuz all these things r available in states n europe..although bit xpensive but dont these things increase ur weight luggage or baggage??i can hardly manage my weight only wid my dresses or some shoes ect 1 or2 bed sheets...then if there is remaining weight like half kg then i can keep smething for my taste...
^see I dun bring any clothes or food or bedsheets because I hardly ever get a chance to wear desi kapray here.. I only bring food from home so I dun have to cook for many many many days!
masalas because where I live, it's $1.50 a pack for shan masala whereas it's what Rs. 30 in Pakistan so why bring empty luggage, I just fill it up with food :D
horizon, I guess its about personal choices I guess ... I am not much into clothes and shoes , hence I have much space left in my luggage when i travel back ... I fill it all up with masala's and milk powder etc ...
lol sara you are nadeedi.. you can pay extra and bring it all (last time my luggage was over the limit, and they wanted me to pay extra for both, I paid for one and then i made such a puppy face saying my mom thinks I will not eat anything if I dun take all this food, if you want I can take it all and give it back to her, she is waiting outside.. the uncle started asking me what school I go to and what am I studying and next thing i know he put my luggage on belt and said jee jain aap)
I bring back all of those things too, we get to fill up 6 suitcases so weight is never an issue
And this time it will be seven cuz of the additional baby I’m gonna shop till I drop
as i said..the thread got into the direction of clothing and what nots. and i am keeping with the direction of the thread (i.e. not the initial intent)
btw a maasi is considered a delicacy by babarr-sherr, bhairyay, cheetay, and assorted adaam khors
