Oh my God CharmedOne...i am so sorry to hear about your loss :(
I was in a free period in my jr year of HS and an announcement came over the loudspeaker. THe principal asked if anyboyd's parents worked in Wall street ot come to the office immediately. After a few minutes, they told us what had happened. I don't remember what she said exactly. But my brother was working/living in the city in those days and I called my mother to find out if everything was okay.

I was watching Neighbours,of all things,when there was a BBC news flash.I tell you, I went ice cold as my sister was attending a breakfast meeting in Windows of the World restaurant.
Have not watched a single episode since.
And they did think it was a bomb at first...they were told to evacuate.

OMG Charmed, that is horrible...Im so sorry for your family. Allah only knows what your parents and you must have gone through. May Allah swt grant her Jannatul Firdaus.
I was working when it happened. I used to work as a trainer for a fitness chain and the whole gym went quiet...all the TVs were fixed on the news and people were just staring.
Later that day, one of my co-workers erupted at me...yelling all sorts of crazy things like "how could your people do this to us" and swore at me (he was a Jehovah's witness).
He was fired on the spot.
My bro and a friend were at university that day. So they took this elevator with some guy. When this guy got off and the elevator was closing, he ran out and screamed at them and said "I hope you're happy now".

I was actually in class when all of a sudden "CONFUSED" or "FAIZY" came running in and said the WTC was hit and literally instantaneously everyone jumped out of their seats and ran to the cafe, i remember nobody went back to classes all day and we spent all day watching the new in the cafe. Allah sab ko apney amaaan mein rakhey, Ameen !!!
