I was getting ready to go to University - I had just started my MBA and didn't have a TV in my apartment at the time. Before leaving for school, I had to stop by the building super's office to ask him to fix some stuff in my apartment and the TV was on and he was like "did you hear?!"... and I just stood there in front of the TV - flabbergasted. I couldn't make sense of it at first and ran back to my apartment and started following news feeds on my computer.
I couldn't attend classes that day - for one I was stunned and terrified - and at a more personal level, I couldn't help thinking how I could've been in the South tower... had I accepted a position with Morgan Stanley which was offered to me the month before - but instead, I had decided to pursue my MBA.

Hmmmm i was walking back from a night out, walking past a shop window.... and saw the plain crash into the tower... i said to the guy in the shop god what film is that??
havent seen it before, he said its not a film, its the news!!!!

I was also in school getting ready to go to my oracle class..when i get to the lecture hall, found it had been cancelled. I come out and there are couple of students standing around and talking about a plane hitting the wtc..so i stood around as well, then we all went to the cafe and saw the tower go down live on TV. Everyone was in shock because it just didn't seem real, but it was.

I was about to leave for my school then phone rang and my sister in law was there she told me about that incident and I was shocked.......after that I tried to contact my family in new york,but all circuits were blocked,my call did not go through till next day of 9/11.And I spent all time worrying about my family members where two of my bro work in downtown menhatan.But thank God they were safe.
However I can't forget that day because after that the world has changed specially for muslims.
