Re: What was your first driving experience like?
Had no desire to drive or to learn driving. Was deliberately making mistakes so I could get out of it.

Re: What was your first driving experience like?
So are you a fatal driver?
Re: What was your first driving experience like?
I think i'm pretty good but everyone else in the car would beg to differ :D
Re: What was your first driving experience like?
Passed my driving test on first try. Learned how to drive stick shift in Lahore when I was 14. I was visiting Pakistan and had a chance to sit behind wheels with my cousin. After coming back to States took driving classes provided in school and in 6 months I had my liscense.
I remember when I first sat behind the wheel with my instructor and start driving, he basically picked on me saying, "don't hold the wheel like a grandma. don't drive like a grandma" I must say he was the best instructor ever. He was strict and picky but gave really good hints about driving properly. And now I can drive holding a stairing with one hand or sometimes just a pinky lol
Nope never had an accident/ticket even though I always end up driving above speed limit.
Re: What was your first driving experience like?
You may have just jinxed yourself.
Re: What was your first driving experience like?
^LOL I wish it was that easy. :-)
Re: What was your first driving experience like?
sehar: thats what i said too.. everwhere I look, i am seeing the gender being worst-case ..
now, there are always exceptions.. i was going out with this girl who was a better driver, racer and biker than i was. . . and i agree to this, but generally when i look at stats of crashes in my province, news on tv, i cant help but stereotyping.. even in my own home.. in my family, in my friends circle..
khair.. thats an on-going debate.. :-)
Re: What was your first driving experience like?
Each of ur events was mutually exclusive, probability of khuda na khasta it happening again is still 50%. It's your experiences so obviously aapko aisa lagay ga, and had it happened to me with guys only, I would also think the same. I don't think it's fair to generalize driving capabilities based on gender.
like it or not Sehar,
there's research been done to show gender differences being a determinant of driving behavior... in a recent study that I read (I was reading this for an Actuarial studies student who had recommendations for the drivers insurance corps), they have showed a significant relationship between gender &
i) negative emotional driving ; ii) risky driving; and iii) aggressive driving.
For all three of these conditions, they found females to have more at-fault traffic violations. They also controlled for personality trait variables, and only found "extroversion" to be related to traffic violations, and again only in the case for females.
Lemme see if I can find the source.
Re: What was your first driving experience like?
Nope, don’t like it. ![]()
I’d like to see the research models/methods ![]()
I can agree to the “negative emotional driving”, but I don’t know about ii and iii. I’ve personally seen more male drivers who are aggressive than females, as well as risky. Women have more traffic violations than males? Now that’s surprising.
Re: What was your first driving experience like?
my firat time was simple and straight forward...
before driving...
excited on the outside
excited on the inside
While driving
confident on the outside..
screwed on the inside...
After driving
Contend and wanted more on the outside..
Chew on the inside..
yeah my freinds were watching.. so i had to be a lill two faced!
Re: What was your first driving experience like?
Oooh mama mia, faizy, I bet ur heart must be pounding at 200mph if she was doing 100mph…the opposite sex attracts & **A babette pumping the accelerator is directly proportional to our pumping hormones…**I think this should be my new signature…![]()
My first ever accident was with a female…
1st female Xperience - I was doing 120kph on a 100kph, still legal in Dubai’s road(Ur in trouble if U Xceed 121kph), & this female comes out of a T intersection just blindly & onto my lane…I beam her crazily & swerve to avoid her, I got so pissed, I drove up in front of her & braked hard…She bangs me…I didnt know it was a lady, until I stepped out & saw the driver clearly. I cooled down, recited la hawla wala quwat. She was a Pakistani doc…& she realized her mistake but was too afraid to admit it…then I calmly asked her to park & we’ll call police. She apologized, & I told the cops it was my mistake, I overtook in her lane. Itna ghussa acha nahin hota, & I learnt the best lesson in life, stay away from female drivers.
2nd female Xperience - New Year’s night, traffic is crawling at snail’s pace, & out of nowhere, dot 5min after the clock struck 12, this gorgeous babette in a Peugeot 306 hits my new GTR from the back…I get out in anger, but after a keen observation of my bumper, I looked at the lady…smiled & said, Happy New Year…
…my friend was like, go get her number man, shez hottt. I thought of telling her, “Lady I know U like my car, but there are other ways of bumping into guys & asking their number…:D”, but it I wasnt interested.
