Hey so my wedding is coming up soon inshAllah, only 2 and a half months to go! But it’s got me thinking about what my wedding will actually be like. Of course it’s a unique experience being the bride at the wedding and inshAllah you only do it once in your life
So all these thoughts has made me really want to ask all of you married girls here :
What was the best part of your wedding ?
The mendhi? Getting ready at the salon?, rasms at the baraat or actually getting married, as in the nikah ? Or anything else ?
Congrats!
You are going to love every moment InshAllah! I think for me, the best moments were when I had a few quiet moments or shared glances with my family and husband amidst the chaos.
Each day has its own special parts... mehendi was the most fun for me but at the same time, the wedding day was so special. Especially when I would share a private smile with my sisters or exchange a look with my mom or a whisper with my husband. Amidst all the chaos, those moments stand out so strongly for me..
Sigh! Can't believe its been 7 months already Alhamdulilah. Time flies! Enjoy your day to the fullest - let go of everything and let yourself be surrounded by your family and friends and good thoughts!
For me, Mehndi was the most fun also (my SIL tried to ruin it for me by trying to fight/ague with me and showing attitude but I just brushed it off). I had a blast! Hubby and I danced because everyone forced us to and everyone was dancing… there was a competition between guys vs girls and it was the best!
On shaadi day, hubby said vows to me right before the nikkah (I think someone asked him to and he just said whatever was in his heart).. hahaha. it was just so unexpected and I teared up a bit. The reception was meh… I did enjoy walking in with my hubby holding hands and having all eyes on us.
Waalima day- we were at the hall for only 1 hour or so (we got there, ate, had our first dance, and left).
Congrats!

Goodluck :)
This thread is cute ! I think my fave part of my sis ' s wedding was the all the rasms and getting ready at the salon.
My friend always says the favourite part of a wedding if you're the bride is the time spent in the evening after the wedding getting to know your new husband. Cute !! Anyone agree lol
Mine was super hectic. I was so upset because of all the things that had gone wrong earlier but when I walked into the hall my husband got up and walked down the aisle to come get me. That was very unexpected and super adorable.

Aww that's nice ! So nobody has said the mun dikhai as a highlight ?? (Wedding night present ) I would have thought that that would be definitely be a highly remembered part of the day
I think I'm looking forward to that a lot inshAllah :)
Mine was having my mum and baby brother walk me down the aisle, i'l never forget that moment as they both helped me feel like my dad is there with us aswell it was a special moment
I guess best part or wedding would be different for the boy and the girl.
Reaally? thats interesting, And why is that ? Why do you think there would be differences between what the groom looks forward to or remembers the most, than what the bride looks forwards to ??
Would be interesting to know the opinions of men when it comes to weddings ! You usually always hear the girls opinions
Thanks for all the sincere responses !! it was great to read your treasured memories !
But come on girls, share more please lol!! what was the best part ??
Which part were looking forward to the most and which turned out to be the best ??
