What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

I don't know - what was it.

no fair - tell me I won't steal them!

that may help a single person getting married.

so many to choose from - the one that still resonates with me -

“You will never be happy because you don’t ask for the things you want in life”

Re: What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

ha
^my best friend's father use to tell my best friend (about me)"he is going to be left behind in life, because he doesn't ask his family to support him "

Re: What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

PM Isn't it funny? I actually believed it for a better part of my life and it's not true! Happiness comes from contentment and I am pretty content.

I never ask my parents for anything. Why bother them? They have done enough. And now that we are adults we should take responsiblity for things ourselves. (my opinion)

And contentment comes from being happy with yourself?

Re: What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

^ I don't know?

I think my stubbornness helped me, never asked them for any thing.
I was able to experience things what my siblings missed.
If you really want to hear a funny story.
I always used to say “I never accept/took any thing from my family, I did life at my own”
One day I was sitting at a coffee house out in the open, eating break fast and reading a very thick technical book.
Usually in working hrs no one is around. that day a Chines CEO or some thing came sat there.
He started talking to me and ask what I was reading. And then what I do etc.
Then he asked me what uni. I went to I said none.
you know nJgal what he said ??
He said “good genes thats why” lol
since then I don’t really say “I did it at my own” lolzzzzzz father did help in way:salute:. if you know what I mean.

I think you don;t call you self content. you live a life in your own way. ppl find see you contentment.
I think you love the way you live. I also think detaching from common norms is the way to find true happiness.

The compliment given to me by my martial arts instructor Syed Naveed-ul-Hassan in 1995 when I was only 9 years old:-

"Even if all of my students leave and this institution is closed, I will teach you martial arts in my home"

Re: What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

My best one is when someone tells me that I have a lot of patience and willpower or when some friends told me that they have never seen a girl so strong as me, that after going thru so much in my life I laugh and smile all the time and never complain to anyone. Also when my husband told me that he has the best time of his life with me and no matter if we stay together or leave each other in future, he's gonna respect me for his whole life.

Re: What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

Here is few that i remember:

I have this friend (female) she is one of my best friend and a bit older than me. I used to like this another girl but for some reason we didnt get along and i kind of got rejected :(. And i told this story to my friend and she said to me “Shaz leave it she is not worth it! She doesnt have a clue what she has missed!” and than she further went on saying “Your wife would be the luckiest person on this world” And i was Awwww How shweeet…

And this same friend of mine, she liked another boy but they couldnt get married because of family issues and the boy wasnt kind of interested in getting married. So the other day i was talking to her she was quite sad since she loved him a lot and while talking she said" You knw Shaz these asian boys are always like this, they jus use girls and when it comes to marry they bug off and than she goes i wish “Either you were of my age or i were of your’s and than you would’ve been mine” I was totally surprisd when i heard this…i was like  :hayaa: lol

Another one i remeber was from this friend of mine whos no more in this world sadly. A week before he died he told me “Shaz you are the best person i have met in this world and InshAllah you will progress a lot in this world Good Luck” and after a week he died…it was one of the worst days in my life" Lost my good friend.

And some people seem to love my eyes lol dont know why! Many people have said you are eyes are v cute lol..:hehe:

Maroush i think i told you before dont tease Meena…seems like you dont understand :emmy:

PS: :hehe:

Re: What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

shaqz:

did the girl rejected you, knew about your "close friend"

Yes! But i dont think that was the reason.....it was my fault....the girl turned out to be an @ss......

Dude I don't want you to go back to the girl.
But this sounds like my story. Girls don't take it.
I don't blame them we wont go near a girl who is "close" to a guy in any way.

I have done that!!
Girl kicked me left right and centre, Now I know why.

Yeah i knw what you are saying.....But i knew that girl for a long time she is v nice nd safe to me and our friendship was jus limited to friendship....

But i knw what you are saying......

PS: Havent spoken to this girl (friend of mine) for like 2 mnthns now she even called me but i couldnt be bother to answer the phone dont know why!
