I wore a bell bottom type suit. My sister wore a long dress for her HS graduation. I suppose you could wear watever you like. I have seen guys wearing shorts and flip flops as well as suits.
Basically whatever goes.

i doubt it matters… what ive noticed is, the most well dressed graduates are the ones from High school.. by the time ure done with college or uni.. ure just glad to be gettin the hell outta there.. or maybe u just dont care by that time .. i dont know the reasoning behind it.. but majority of graduates wore jeans and shorts and tank tops and flip flops when i graduated 
… i was worried i wasnt dressing up enuff (wore a kurta with dress pants)… once the robes came off.. i noticed i was over dressed

i dont have that many skirts...i have like 5 black skirts, one grey, but its kinda tight, and a red one....hmmm how about a cream colored one?

i know what i am going to wear, a skirt i wore when i met my fiance for the first time :love: i have never worn it again cuz i wanted to keep it forever but i guess i can wear it on another semi-somewhat-special-event

lol I wore jeans and my friends bought new suits so my mom was actually confused when she looked at me and then at my friends.. in the end, she made me wear black pants but I dun think if it actually matters.. My friends dun even have a single pic in that suit since almost all our graduation pics were in a black gown! We looked gorgeous, nonetheless!!
Just go for black pants and you will be fine!!!

congrats on your grad! what is this..? high school or university? or somewhere in between? :p
but my suggestion would be to dress casually in whatever you feel comfortable with. and like someone said before, you're probably gonna end up feelin' over dressed once the robes come off...
