What to wear on a Nikkah

Hi girls!!

I am looking at all sorts of colors for my wedding days .. barat red valima light color mehndi yellow golden maroon banarsi etc etc…

I was wondering what color should i wear for the nikkah … and WHAT should i wear … shalwaar kameez? shirt trouser? churidaar? do we have a thread on suggestions already ? I want something simple looking as compared to a lengha/sharara/gharara

already got my eyes on a maxi and lengha for my mehndi and barat!!

I wore a white & silver dress with lots of kaam on it. It was with a choori daar pyjama.

I chose the colour for its purity.

Yep i would agree i will most definitly be goingfor white/ ivory with loads of dazzle ;) so everything looks nice clean and pure

Though i have ivory in mind .. fact is i dont think it suits me a lot .. i can go for beige or off white but i was thinking maybe ill get my valima dress something along those lines ...

any other nice color suggestions ? pictures ? how about dark green ..

crown what r u wearing ? shalwar kameez .. churidaar?

Well i'm in dream land at the moment lol.... maybe either shalwaar kameez or a long dress between the knees and ankle and a choori daar trouser... or even maybe a trouser suit

If you don't mind me asking are you dark or fair complexion

whats ur complexion like ?

i actually read and wrote this whole thing about skin tones on my blog and trust me im only going for those colors and i knw they look awesome on my skin tone .. sigh .. but u knw .. weddings .. u wana wear everything! :)

Mmmmm thats a good question im more closer to fair than dark if that makes any sense... sorry ive never been good at discribing my skin colour. ill try and upload a pic if i can wrk out how to do it

YES. Mint/Spring green is very pretty, or a nice light coral colour. I find that everyone wears white on their nikkah, it's not as unique as it used to be.
