I am getting married after ramadan iA and i am wearing lots of different colours, i think i chose too many skirt outfits and maybe should've swapped a few for anarkalis but oh well, its done now! I am hoping to style each one differently with accessories in different styles to mix it up!
Peachy/coral maxi on my registry...simple, arabian inspired outfit which i will be wearing with a jewelled bando and jewellery by kyles
Electric Blue and purple lengha on my nikkah...fusion style, i will wear this with just a tikka on my head (something quite big) and a simple set
GReen and navy lengha on my mehndi...traditional looking with light work, i have a matha patti and light set for this day
Golden yellow and pink on my haldi...long shirt with plain skirt, i will style with paranda and just wear bangles and huge earrings
Red and antique gold on my main day...mughal style emb'd, i have a traditional style set with this...tikka/jhoomar, the two necklaces, hand bracelets and anklets
Turquoise and pink on walima...(chosen by MIL) im not sure what theyre buying me yet in terms of accessories

Depends where you live. It's like a nikkah but according to the country you live in - signing papers in front of witnesses so you're legally married in the eyes of the law. I'm having one insh'allah too! Just another excuse to have a function, dress up, and meet your fiance before the wedding hehehe!

I initially wanted to wear baby pink but then I decided to wear that on the walima. I think I will wear something in ivory with pearl embroidery with a double strand of pearls for the nikkah inshallah.

I'm going for mint green. It was decided last minute that we would have the nikaah separate to the wedding day so I don't have time to have a separate outfit made so have to go with something I already have. So it's not heavy at alllll but is one I my faves

If your nikkah is on your mehndi night, I would not suggest white. You should wear something bright/colorful, in my opinion.

how about variations of green and orange? They're classic mehndi colors. You could do lime green and tangerine, or olive and rust, or emerald and burnt orange. Or maybe you could even go lighter with pistachio green and apricot/peach. That way, it's the soft color palette that you had in mind and it also incorporates the mehndi colors (albeit a watered-down version) :)
