We on gupshup can only provide you with guesses as to what might be wrong with this guy. Unfortunately, we can't give you a definite answer. The guy himself could answer this question better than us.
Perhaps something is bothering him, it could be a family/school/work problem that is stressing him out. People have different ways of dealing with stress. Some people like to talk about their problems whereas others become distant and like to resolve issues on their own. He might be upset with something you said to him. He might be tired of writing long PM's...sometimes one is not in the mood to share every thing that is going in their lives. He might be busy with various obligations. He might not be interested in this relationship anymore and is behaving like a jerk to get you to distance yourself from him as well. He might have found another girl.
See, what I mean? There are lots of possibilities. The best way to solve this issue is to talk to him. Tell him,** "Hi. Lately I have noticed that you've been distant and I'm sensing a cold vibe from you. I want to know what the matter is and if I can help in some way. I especially want to know if the issue is about our relationship. I think that straight-forward communication is the best and mature way to handle things in any relationship. The guess-work is way too much of a hassle. So, if there's an issue (especially in regards to us), please be direct with me."**
^Go ahead and ask him one more time what the matter is.. You never know what is going on in someone's life........and it's courtesy to ask. And if he STILL gives you an ATTITUDE (after you showed concern)........then I say forget about this guy and stop communicating with him.
Respect and communication are sooo important in any relationship and if these 2 elements are missing......then that relationship is doomed. You don't need to put up with any disrespect from any guy! You don't need to be in the sort of relationship where you ALWAYS have to guess why he is acting a certain way.....its too frustrating. I understand that occasionally we all are in a bad mood.....but if this becomes CONSISTENT BEHAVIOR....that's not a good sign. So if he continues acting like a jerk, have some respect for yourself and move on from him.
