Narrated 'Aisha: Bilal used to pronounce the Adhan at night, so Allah's Apostle? said, "Carry on taking your meals (eat and drink) till Ibn Um Maktum pronounces the Adhan, for he does not pronounce it till it is dawn.
Both ahadeeth state the same that carry on eating till faj’r adhaan but in the first one, Zaid bin Thaabit:razi: actually asks what was the period they waited between after finishing sahoor and call for prayer… hence the answer…
see the ten minutes difference is so short, wordings of many hadeeth will tell you that eat till Faj’r… which is Subha-e-Kaadhib.. Faj’r exact time starts right after the end of Subha-e-Kaadhib - which is Subha-e-Sadiq
hence, we should look into the whole context and not just pick and choose…
The arguments is exactly how you conclude that Shaitaan was among jinn as opposed to common christian belief of him being a fallen angel…
If we take any ayah and present as proof of him being an angel, we can always accomplish that until we take all the ayaahs and realize that the place where he is mentioned as jinn is no different than others.. it’s just that other places, he is not categorically called jinn but someone who was among the jamaat of angels…
The one I quoted specifically says that Hazrat Bilal (RA) used to say Azan in the night .
Then it says that keep eating till Azan is called. I will listen to Azan only when it is called , I cannot anticipate its time if I am in my home having sahur. So looks like it can become a general pracitice for every one to follow.
I guess this one is to make things easy for us common folks.
The one you quoted is one , when Rasool Allah(SAW) did something may be once which cannot become a general practice .
You can eat up to the time of Fajr Prayer. Almighty Allah says in the Qur'an, Eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct from the black thread (of night)Al-Baqarah 2:187).
So appearing of white thread does not happen until one hour after the azan/fajr time, it is still pitch dark outside. Does it mean we can still eat?
hey can u give me more details -- like if u dont do sehri and forget to wake up - and u keep ur roza and pray qazaa farjr then does ur roza count?? why or why not?
