I'm sorry to read of this, I hope you don't let these ignorant people change your behaviour.
I agree with the person who stated Allah created flowers so what is un-Islamic about those shapes?
Sadly, I am not at all surprised when you mentioned this person was Salafi. I'm not saying all Salafis are like this, my cousin is one BUT a lot of them are just ridiculous in some of their actions. Whenever I meet a Salafi I am very cautious since many of the ones I have met have acted rather bizarrely.
