^^ No point Disagreeing and still working at same place , try to find some new place or Inqilab zindabad , bring revolution to school , ask other teachers , ones who liked your idea to back you up and throw the teacher out and then become Headmistress of that school ( see , all we need here is some Musharraf typo action ) .
If cant do any of abovementioned acts , why don’t you open your own school . All Pakistani beg.maat do that to kill some of their free time .

Bibi , every dictator says so that he/she is here for a short passage of time only . That’s what Zia said and ruled Pakistani for years and same Musharaff is doing .
Make them your Guru , learn something out of them , who knows one day they will name that school after you .

it is so disappointing as you describe this incident.
the minds of these people are closed.
they have no sense of life and experiential learning by appreciating the forms and functions of the flora and fauna as some man made religious ditums have altered their own ability to be able to learn with an open mind.
young childrn wont learn about shapes and sizes, colors and numbers or letters now, then when?
you can do one thing: feel sorry for such a mind and creatively help change their minds, by holding on to your learning and teaching skill.
because if you will leave, it initself will be taken as a reason that you knew you were wrong in teaching by talking about shapes and sizes of paper plants and decorating with them.
as for learning surahs and their meanings, private Islamic schools can have one class, of Arabic or Quranic learning, but sciences, math, geography, language & social studies are important subjects. & especially school admin and teachers should not at all be like how you narrated here.
do what you have to do. and speak up. sometimes you have to shame the embarraser and i think this is what is needed here.
they can't reduce education to Islam of their own. if anything, Quran is all about science and logic from the geology of earth, presence of species, development of embryos, life and death cycles, and weather/climate to so much more on the processes of universe.

Thanks Dushwari, its an Islamic after school only once in a week, I'll teach children about geometrical shapes in a special way then no one will have any problem.

haha..nahin...They've told me to make a money box type of box with a long hole in it, and to make cards with all the children's name on them in Arabic to put in that box by children every week(so they can recognize their names written in Arabic)......what I'm gonna do...I'm gonna make those name cards in different shapes like square, circle, triangle, diamond and specially haxagon.
Every time I'll be teaching them thier names in arabic and the shapes at the same time inshaAllah.
I just want children to understand that whatever things they learn in secular schools have a relationship with Islam, I don't want to seculerize things for them. Hope you understand my point.

I suggested her to give me the plan of 4 weeks in advance from now on. And I think she'll agree with it.
