Oh this sounds familar…

Some people just don’t know how to give criticism. But the thing is…if you’re out there doing work for others, and your work needs to be evaluated by a certain group of people…you need to expect all sorts of reactions. You also need to know how to take criticism.

It’s hard, but ignore the attitude and attempt to see the points being raised. I found that if I work towards a particular, well defined set of goals, in addition to the approval of my peers or superiors, this tends to be easier. I find it easier to communicate my own ideas when I’m challenged. Not only that, you can take up the goals with the very people you need approval from, so you know if you’re on the right track.

Don’t take it personally. Just understand that different people react in different ways.

I honestly didn’t understand what you meant by “when ther’s a will, there’s a way” in relation to psychology and teaching strategies.

So are you like the program manager or coordinator or something? You said that you asked her to submit four week lesson plan. I think 4 weeks lesson plan is too much, go for 1 week or 2 weeks. 1 week is the norm.

She’ll be writing the plans but I’ll be typing it and sending it by email to other members. Lets see if she can do it even for the 2 weeks.
