It’s so sad how we can’t seem to respect other people’s privacy. We’ll go to any extent to figure out what happened just to feed our own curiosity, like here we are giving 100 suggestions as to what could have happened. I declare this thread to be haraam.

Quite disturbing but I know of one case when this was an issue. The couple were nikkahofied and guy wanted to consummate the marriage. Girl was hesitant and he suggested that route so she could still stay a ‘virgin’.
The couple ended up getting divorced (not just for that reason though) and the girl has done very very well for herself mashallah. Actually quite an inspirational figure out there.

As for the couple in question on this thread, since they decided to keep what went on between them private, it’s best the OP doesn’t concern herself with inside juicy details. You’ll never know for sure :stuck_out_tongue:

^ err I don't think that was the issue here. Maybe she just wasn't ready to move things forward when they were nikkahed. She probably had reasons of her own since she was very 'religious' and he was well... he suggested 'that' route so...

Anyway, that's all I know about what went on between the couple regarding this topic. Anything else would be an assumption... so I'll shut up.

I have a new theory, the mother of the guy had a secret liason with the father of the bride (or vice versa, whichever scenario does not involve incest as it's a cousin marriage). The husbands admits to the wife that they may infact be 1/2 siblings, the families stay quiet to avoid the shame.
