^ LOL ... giggles2009 meant to write "they are" not "their" ... what giggles2009 wanted to say to you was ... not his/her cousins, but the girl who got married was cousins with the boy who are from a family who are not giggles2009's cousins just friends.

May be he tried to lay down the rules kay you will cover up in this and this way and you will not do work where there are non-mehrams and you will pray five times etc etc.
or he may have questioned her character…

Though I do think it’s a good thing they didn’t bring it in the open since in such cases both desi parties would love to matti uchaal at each other right after.

You'll never know. It may have had to do with sex or sexual orientation...or it could be something completely different. I don't see how the reason would affect any of us. Both the guy and the girl have now found someone else. Funny/sad thing is that often times...the people who were actually going through the problem....would like to move on with their lives.....but society interfers with that process of moving on by reopening closed chapters and discussing personal matters that don't concern them. It's best if people et the family have their privacy and move on with their life in peace.
