So this friend of mine. he is 27

he has had this online relationship with a girl, and he really likes her and all.

he was ready to send his parents to the girl’s when she dropped the bomb.

she had told him that she was 22 but now she said that actually she is 16 and that she is afraid her parents would go nuts.

now my friend is puzzled and confused. on one hand, he has the feeling that he found the perfect girl, but then he thinks he was cheated or something. he feels sort of guilty having courted a teenage girl.

so what should he do?

Your friend’s story reminds me of the movie “Trust”, except that the roles are reversed here.

IMO, in any online relationship, trust is the key factor. And if trust is broken, there isn’t much left to hang on to.
