Watch his behavior with other people. How does he talk to his mom, does he salaam all the elders, how does he talk to your younger siblings, your parents, etc. How does his mom talk to your parents? You can learn so much about a person by watching the way they interact with others.

Yes, I agree. Actions speak louder than words. When you see a guy treat his mother with respect and he is humble in his actions that will affect so many other areas of his life and personality. When I met my husband, I never had a list of questions to ask him. Conversation went with the flow and we just clicked. Everything felt natural and comfortable. I never felt like I had to impress him or be someone I wasn’t. As a matter of fact, one day when he came over to visit my family, I was wearing some old army type pants and an old green stripe sweater, very thrift shop, Indie sort of stuff. And he later told me that he liked my style. Better than that, he liked me for who I was, not for my outside appearance.

ok, ok....well i got asked was how do i imagine married life and so forth.

I'll cut to the chase and said that: i envisage married life to be a nurturing, happy, peaceful and mutually loving institution that exists between two people and is mutually beneficial to the people in that marriage, including any children that come from that marriage.

Also i would like to marry a practicing muslimah, educated woman who loves to travel and socialise with down to earth people and who appreciates an independent nature in her husband.

aswell as to live independently after marriage and not in my 'familys' house, but to strive to maintain a strong and happy bond with them.

2 out of 3 isn't bad. :p

oh i know my short coming.. i am quick of temper and i shout when angry or upset.. i can be proud, selfish,obsessive, i do my best to follow my religion but i still fall short..
of everyone and my own expectations..
i can be extremely lazy and procratinate like mad.. but once i make my mind up to do some thing i will try to see it to the end...
so i guess i know my shortcomings dont u ?

About Questions I’d ask:

1. what are his Religious Views. Make sure his views and actions dont clash
   2)Where he studied. The kind of schools and unis matter like big time.
   3)His Ikhlaaq (that aint no question )
   4)Does he WANT to get married? Or is he ready to get married? mentally, physically or financially.

If she knows, that is just great. Then she won't mind having the same qualities in her life partner as well. A life long relationship should be above such trivial short-comings. No pun intended.
