It gave me real perspective of life. Some of those jobs lasted for a few days or weeks , but still I learned a few things.

1. I can understand English spoken in any accent of the world.
2. No matter how few words you use I can still get your message.
3. It helped me overcome my prejudices , stereotyping , racism and generalizations.
4. I have become very practical person.
5. I became very patient and can deal with any situation in life with minimum stress level.
6. I was a Xenophobe I became a humanist.

Agreed. I used to be very shy, approaching people was not my thing at all. Starting off was difficult, but I ended up a really good salesman. I feel comfortable having a conversation with a complete stranger.
