It gets you to understand that no job is really menial and that the productivity and output of these jobs contributes to the economic well being of citizens and communities. It also makes you appreciate the value of hard-earned money and manage your earnings… something that the youth of our country don’t necessarily appreciate since their parents take care of all their needs until their University education is completed.
In the words of Khalil Gibran… “in keeping yourself with labour you are in truth loving life… and to love life through labour is to be intimate with life’s inmost secret”.
