My friend of a friend had a baby last night and she named her “rukhsaar”. That’s just a BIG and “Mughalia” name for a little girl.

Seriously there are some name that just have been outdated. I think it might be torture for the kids to have such old names like that.

Obviously Amna, Ayesha, Khadija, Fatima, Zainab, Maryam have historical and religious significance

But names like

Abida

Rukiyah

Parveen

Shamshaad

Shugrah

Care ot share some more…

i seem to agree with you also. although i ve not heard the nsame shamshaad for a long period of time and nor do i know anyone of this name. so i think its already been stoppped.

waisey. farkhanda, sanam are names .. like sheynnn said butt and chaudry used to be a title but nowa dayss its become like a name .. so chaoudry shud be stopped.

nah since it’s a caste. Think about it, there are many caucasian surnames which are outright ridiculous, but still they use them with pride. HAMRII BUTTON ka kya qasoor. :hehe:

Do not name your kid Anus Butt people , specially if you plan to send them overseas for higher studies or you are already living in English speaking countries.
