Re: What makes living being love their off springs
kprasad is selfless person, is fact or not?
And, you didnt answer my question, do we have an empirical proof of every fact?
I am trying to make an interesting point :)
I never made the claim that I'm selfless. However, so you can make your interesting point. If I was to make such a claim, you can find evidence for it. You can see what I do, that makes me selfless. If you so wished, you can find evidence for it.
If something is being stated as a fact, you have to have proof!

you said so in your last thread, would discuss that later. However answe following.
natural selection, no selflessness, survival of the fittest, and we are result of that, its fact or not?
Evoultion is still happening today, its fact or not?
and plz, dont come and say that these are specific statements. First one is general, second one is very relevant to theory of evolution. I need your to the point and specific reply in term of "yes" or "no".
Re: What makes living being love their off springs
I’m not sure where you’re going with this. As for your question, yes…evolution is a continual process. It is happening today. It didn’t stop. Here are some links for you, with the requisite references:
Re: What makes living being love their off springs
natural selection is fact?
can you explain what evolution happend during last hour?
I can't even begin to fathom the lack of understanding that would generate these questions. The evolutionary effects we see, happen over the course of very long periods of time. However, there are lots of studies, of bacteria, that generated thousands of generations that demonstrate both micro and macro evolution. I'll leave it up to you to find them.
But, I'll come back to the thesis of this thread. How does this shape your postulation? What is your interesting point?

yes, if natural selection is fact, then how can i get evidance of selflessness of you?
Dude...you're not making any sense! I have no clue what you're saying! How are natural selection, a biological and evolutionary apparatus, and selflessness connected?

you should first read what natural selection is. Natural selection is survival of the fittest that means you are by nature selfish not selfless.
Re: What makes living being love their off springs
either you are selfish or “selfish” but not selfless. Read following article. Gene-centered view of evolution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The gene-
centered view of
evolution is a
synthesis of the
theory of evolution by natural selection , the particulate inheritance
theory, and the non-transmission
of acquired
characters. It
states that those
genes whose
phenotypic effects
successfully
promote their
own
propagation will
be favorably selected in
detriment to
their
competitors. This
process
produces adaptations for
the benefit of genes that promote the
reproductive
success of the organism, or of other organisms
containing the
same gene (kin
altruism and
green-beard
effects), or even only its own
propagation in
detriment to the
other genes of
the genome
(intragenomic conflict). Overview The gene-
centered view of evolution is a different way of
looking at the
basis of
evolutionary
development. It
turns the whole solution of
evolution inside-
out for the
purpose of
examination.
What this new perspective
reveals is a more
easily
understood
model for the
evolution of social
characteristics
such as
selfishness and
altruism that
much of the study of
evolution, caught
up in the survival
of the individual
organisms,
overlooks.
Re: What makes living being love their off springs
They are athiest either because their religion does not answer their questions or they simply hate the religion. Later is more likely the case with them as they do not tend to acquire answer to natural questions from science rather try to avoid such questions and cover science by declaring thase questions random or specific. There are two random or specific questions in this thread. First, what makes mother love their child, and, is evolution happening today. An atheist could not come up with details against first question but second. As he could not find details for my first question over internet.
Their excuse, theory of evolution says, living beings are result of survival of the fittest behavior. Yet, they claim they are caring, giving and selfless.
Re: What makes living being love their off springs
no, we dont force people, we are told to tell people what is the best, that's all. Its upto you people, you find it in fact good for you or not.
That is comforting. So in other words, you favor the concept of people being free to choose their beliefs. Good to know you are not in favor of govt being run by laws of one religion. Always nice to run across a person who believes in secular government.

do you think, Islamic states force minorties to beleive in one faith?

Well their laws are structured around one faith, aren't they? So the point is moot if anyone if forced to believe in one faith.
My statement is not restricted to Islamic societies. It applies to right wing fundamentalists of any faith that want to impose religious laws rather than secular laws.
Re: What makes living being love their off springs
The research you mentioned is based on assuming theory of evolution true, the theory that does not explain the origion of evolution. So that is subjective until theory of evolution answers basic questions.
When some very basic questions are asked, evolutionists reply that it is “better” explanation to go on then believe in “Magic”, that is when they excuse.
See, the lack of understand with you! Macro evolution in bacteria is an assumption. Do you know any scientist who have seen bacteria become anything other than bacteria? I know uou would say such questions arise cuz of “lack of understanding”.
Opening post is a question, you cannot answer that, so stay away from illogical arguments like “give me prove”.
It was little parade on fact, so-called fact, selfishness and selflessness.

We had so many debates in PA. So it off-topic here as Scherbatsky could not digest and swallow the part that science is not the ultimate yardstick so he/she diverted its attention toward belittling the religion.
