What makes a happy marriage?

if a wife does her duties (cooking, cleaning, spending his money wisely and raising the kids), and a husband does his duties (being a breadwinner)…does that really guarantee a happy marriage?

If a spouse is neither abusive nor cheats on their spouse…are they automatically a good spouse?

I believe I am deviating from original topic. In marital relationship, both spouses need to act grown up, flexible, and most importantly friendly.

I believe friendly relationship between two people is more attractive, at least both can easily convey their concern on specific issue etc.

my two cents.

^I don't think so...I'm not about to get married. At least not anytime yet. And no, I'm not afraid of marriage either. It's the next natural stepping stone in life.

The key to any good relationship is compromise. And not behaving too much like a child.
