Pakistani cuisine has some dishes in which steak is cut into smaller and thinner strips and fried with tomatoes and onions.
But the people are not used to eating huge blocks of steak like the Americans....and it would be even more unappetizing to them to eat it rare or medium rare. They prefer their meat cooked all the way through. Don't blame em. Slightly bloody/raw meat is eeeewwww!
They do serve steak in Pakistan although not rare or bloody cos that is just gross anyway. I have had steak loads of times at Texas Steak House in Pindi and also in Zanzibar, Multan along with other places. Yum
You know what else is an acquired taste in pakistan......mint chocolate chip ice cream. I LOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!!!! It's my favorite ice cream, but most people there don't care for it. They don't mind vanilla, or strawberry, or mango, or chocolate, or neopolitan, or tutti fruiti.....but most of them won't do mint chocolate chip!
Yep, you are right about that. I ordered mint choc chip at an icecream parlour and got 1 scoop of some weird mint flavour and 1 scoop of chocolate chip. I know they had mint choc chip tho cos I saw it in the freezer. Maybe its called something different in Pakistan?
